Frequently asked questions
Is Envirolympics only a festival?
No. The proposed broader model centres on school environmental education and projects throughout the year, with festivals and competitions as potential engagement and recognition events.
What are the five pillars?
Environmental education; stewardship programs; school-based projects; measurement and recognition; and carbon-impact assessment with any carbon-finance pathway conditional.
How many environmental program areas are planned?
Seven: green schools and reforestation; zero-waste and recycling; water stewardship; clean energy and carbon reduction; sustainable agriculture and food security; biodiversity and ecosystem protection; and environmental innovation and leadership.
Is registration open?
No live registration process or confirmed event timetable is presented on this website. Schools and collaborators can make enquiries by email.
Do school projects create carbon credits?
No. Project participation, activity points, photographs and educational carbon estimates do not by themselves produce certified or tradeable carbon credits.
Is the Ministry an officially announced partner?
This site describes a proposed collaboration model, not a confirmed endorsement or operational agreement.
How is student privacy handled?
There is no live child-facing upload or registration portal on this site. A future platform would require safeguarding, parental permissions, access controls and appropriate governance.
Additional questions about the proposed pilot
Is a 50–100-school pilot approved? No. The concept document uses this range as an illustrative planning assumption; scope, budget, locations, timing and Ministry decisions are unconfirmed.
How are Envirolympics impact points different? Impact points are educational recognition. They are not tradeable verified carbon credits and cannot be converted to them.
Who envisioned Envirolympics? Heal A Soul Foundation. Savitroday Technologies LLC helped prepare the proposed national school initiative concept.
